by Casey Thompson on 10/11/11Hey Friends! Well, my time in Canada is coming to an end. The Six Chix show (as well as Crusin' Classics) has been a wonderful experience! This show will include performances by myself, violinist Robbi Kenney and a special flight presentation from The Center of the Birds of Prey. Yes my friends...birds will be flying around the audience! This will not be one to miss and will be the most unique and exciting show I will have the pleasure of performing in. It's one night only - OCT 20th, 2011 - at the Charleston Music Hall, Charleston SC. Show starts at 8PM. Make sure to get your tickets now by calling 888.71.TICKETS OR online at www.sewe.com See you there!
My New Outlook for 2011 :)
by Casey Thompson on 01/04/11
Happy New Year Friends! I'm so happy to have my site finally done. It's amazing how much time goes into building and updating webpages. Now, I can direct my focus onto other things. My calendar is staring to fill up fast! I was just asked to perform at the Fallsview Casino at Niagra Falls for five weeks starting in Feb. After that I will be heading to Charleston for another great Moranz production. In between those jobs I'm still working with Live Revival, Skyline Drive, Candyland and pursuing my recording career. Keeping busy, that's for sure!
With a new year comes my new outlook. I have worked in this business my whole life on many different levels. I have performed on stages around the world, sometimes for less that one hundred people, other times for 40,000. It's logical for people in the industry to want you to fit into a mold because it's easy for the public to know exactly what you are with one look. Since my move to Nashville, I have swept my accomplishments under the rug to appear that I am as "country as they come". I have spent countless hours morphing my web site to look as people wanted me to look. I've spent time removing and adding photos with my hair curly or straight trying to figure out what people would prefer. The truth is: COUNTRY is my number one love...but, I am a lover of ALL music. I am not someone who believes that you should only pick one thing to love because it makes you more understandable. I think versatility is a talent all on it's own. I don't think because I have done Broadway that I'm not a country singer. I grew up on Patsy Cline in Meeker, Ohio..est. population 100. I sang on the back of pickup trucks in parking lots on the weekends. I spent my evenings perfecting my woodworking craft in my dad's workshop. Every stage I ever set foot on got me one step higher and led me to a fruitful career of entertaining. I have performed everything from Broadway to Oldies to Bluegrass and I have loved every second of it. I may not have packed my bags one day and moved to Nashville with nothing but a guitar and a dream...but I did come here with a dream of my own and I worked hard to be able to get here with all the experience I already have under my belt.
So from now on I'm going to be proud of what I have accomplished and keep on pursuing what I always have, in the way I always have. I am going to continue making a living as an entertainer and performing on live stages across the country sharing my talent with the world, while still pursuing my dream of becoming a recording artist. I think the fact that my actual job has been being a performer since the age of 15 is an accomplishment many would admire. I hope that being seen by hundreds of thousands of people around the world is just as beneficial as performing in a Nashville venue hoping someone willing to help will stop in. Every show I perform in, every artist I tour with, every genre I tackle, teaches me something and fine tunes my skills and gets me out there. I am so thankful for the artists such as Julianna Hough (whom made her start as a dancer on "Dancing with the Stars") or Laura Bell Bundy (who first started on Broadway as Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde")...even Gweneth Paltrow (whom is now making a move into a country music career after being an actress for twenty years). All female artists who are having huge country music success yet have followed a different path to get there and been true to themselves.
So thanks to all my Fans and for supporting me all of these yearsl. Thank you to all the music lovers out there with open minds who appreciate the arts, no matter what form. With your support, I will continue to pursue this country dream... being just country enough.
~Always~

Headed to Charleston...
by Casey Thompson on 11/29/10
Hey again Folks,
I am sick as a dog today. I feel like I am just in a cycle of getting sick, catching it at the beginning and getting over it fairly quickly...only to start feeling sick again a few days later!
Charleston Christmas is coming up! I am taking off this week to start Rehearsals and can't believe it's here already. For those of you whom are Clay fans, you will be happy to know I get to see Quiana for the first time since the tour. I am really looking forward to getting to spend some time with her again. If you are in the area, make sure you check my calendar and get your tickets early because the shows sell out. It's always a great show and will put you in the holiday spirit for sure!
I've got a million and one things to get done seeing as how I have to have ALL my Christmas shopping done by Nov 30th! I'm kind of glad to have it all out of the way before the store become too chaotic. All that being said, I better go work on some of the things I need to wrap up.
Love~ Casey
